On Thursday, University of Wisconsin’s student clubs Allied Scholars for Animal Protection and Animal Advocacy – UW – Madison hosted former UW Primate Lab worker Madeline Krasno, who gave a talk titled “UW Censored Me. I Fought Back and Won.”
Krasno worked as a student animal caretaker in the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center from 2011 to 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile. While there, Krasno was exposed to the ‘harsh realities of animal testing,’ which left her with post-traumatic stress disorder, according to a press release by the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
