LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock County Judge Curtis Parrish announced in a news conference Thursday afternoon his campaign to continue to serve as Lubbock County Judge, after serving as Lubbock County Judge for the past seven years.
Since becoming the Lubbock County Judge, Parish has presided over more than 7,000 probate, guardianship and civil mental health cases, with his goals being for the county and city to work together, elevate Lubbock county’s representation around Texas and to prepare for the growth happening in Lubbock County.

Parrish said for the future of Lubbock County, he wants to take a look at adding a new district court, as the last one was added was in 1989. Parrish stated he wanted to look into moving the JP offices from the courthouse into the precincts, citing the population threshold for the move has already been exceeded.
Parish asked for the communities help in supporting his vision for the future of Lubbock County, saying, “We are excited about the future of Lubbock County and that is what this campaign is all about.”…
