Local offender faces child assault charge as DA secures 75-year sentence for other crimes

SAN ANTONIO — A local man with a substantial criminal history, including pending charges of child sexual assault, was handed down a lengthy sentence on Friday, according to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.

Peter Tamez was sentenced to 75 years in prison for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1, 1-4 grams, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, as a “habitual offender,” according to the DA.
