DC mayor launches program to help high school grads find jobs in health care

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser celebrated a new technical center and health care apprenticeship program in Ward 8 on Thursday.

The new center opened in August and builds on the success of the first ATC in Ward 5. The DC HEAL apprenticeship program is also new this school year and offers high school graduates interested in health care careers direct-to-work opportunities.
