Man sentenced in Old Town shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man convicted in connection with a shooting in an Old Town parking garage last year was sentenced Friday.

James Spivey was sentenced to 86 months, or a little more than seven years, in prison.

Police say that just before midnight on Sept. 1, 2024, a shooting in a parking garage wounded a 20-year-old man in a pickup truck, who drove away from the scene and called police from a nearby QuikTrip in downtown Wichita.
