LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The driver accused of a hit-and-run crash that sent a juvenile to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Friday morning is in custody and suspected of impairment, police said
The 12-year-old was crossing the street on his way to school when he was struck. According to Deputy Chief Jose Hernandez with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the boy had only taken a few steps off the sidewalk when he was struck in a school zone.
