FBI Buffalo arrests more than 200 fugitives in ‘Summer Heat’ violent crime crackdown

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The FBI’s Buffalo Field Office announced it made more than 200 arrests over the past three months as part of “Summer Heat,” a nationwide effort to combat violent crime.

Between June 24 and Sept. 20, FBI Buffalo said it arrested 207 fugitives and seized more than 10 kilograms of drugs — cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine — eight firearms, and $243,000 in cash.
