Dangerous, explosive Virginia offense set to test Cards’ high-flying defense

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) — Through four games, Louisville’s defense has performed well enough to rank second in the ACC and 18th nationally in total defense, allowing an average of just 268.3 yards per game.

But that unit hasn’t faced anywhere close to the challenge it will be up against Saturday when No. 24 Virginia (4-1, 2-0 ACC) brings its high-octane offense into L&N Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. battle (ESPN2) that has long-term ramifications in the league race for a spot in the championship game.
