Child suffers non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by car while crossing street in Detroit

DETROIT – An 8-year-old child suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Detroit.

The incident occurred on Thursday (Oct. 2) at 4 p.m. at 2nd Avenue and Martin Luther King Blvd.

Police said the pedestrian cross sign was not illuminated for the child to walk, and the child walked out into oncoming traffic…
