Memorial service planned for Anderson Co. detective killed in motorcycle wreck

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A memorial service has been scheduled for an Anderson County detective who was killed last week in a wreck.

According to a social media post by Whitefield Fire Department, a procession and memorial service for Mark Garrett will begin Sunday afternoon.

Garret, a longtime deputy with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office who also served at multiple area fire departments and rescue squads, was killed Wednesday while riding a motorcycle in Williamston.
