Spartanburg Police Seek Shooter After 18-Year-Old Hit in the Face by Bullet at Camp Croft Courts

SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA — Police are searching for the suspect responsible for a Friday night shooting that left an 18-year-old man injured at a housing complex on the city’s south side.

Gunfire Erupts at Camp Croft Courts

According to the Spartanburg Police Department, officers responded around 7:45 p.m. to reports of shots fired at the Camp Croft Courts Housing Authority on Hanover Place.

When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old male who had been grazed in the face by a bullet. Officers provided first aid until EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Police confirmed his injuries were non-life-threatening.

Witnesses Describe Chaos

Witnesses told investigators the victim and another person were leaving their apartment in a vehicle when someone began shooting.
