MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Ronald McDonald House of Mobile is celebrating 25 years of being “home away from home” for families of children who have been hospitalized, according to a news release.

The Ronald McDonald House of Mobile serves as a comforting place for families to stay while their child is receiving medical treatment at local hospitals.
“Each year, hundreds of families traveling to Mobile for medical care find respite and support at the House, with access to comfortable accommodations, meals and a sense of community in a welcoming, safe environment,” the release said.
To celebrate the momentous occasion, on Oct. 20, the Ronald McDonald House of Mobile will host an Open House at 10 a.m. for the community to tour the house, learn about the services provided, and meet the staff, volunteers and supporters who keep it going…
