LMU Pushes Pacific to the Wire but Can’t Steal the Road Win

STOCKTON, CA – LMU battled hard but came up short on Thursday night, falling 3–1 to Pacific at the Spanos Center.

The Lions came out firing in the first set. A couple of service aces from Kayla Lopez flipped the momentum, and kills from Leah Burrell, Sophie Stephenson, and Maddie Boerstra helped LMU close it out 25–23.

Pacific bounced back in set two, taking control early with tough serving. LMU fought to stay close thanks to kills from Sophia Keene and Stephenson, plus another ace from Lopez. Cecily Bramschreiber tried to spark a late push with back-to-back aces, but the Tigers held on 25–17…
