Man accused of killing roommate with BB gun pleads guilty

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Saratoga Springs man accused of killing his roommate with a pellet gun has admitted his guilt. According to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office, Brendan Carl, 26, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide.

Carl was arrested in April after Saratoga Springs Police received a report that a man shot his roommate with a BB gun in their home on Warren Street. According to officials, the victim, identified as Michael Collins, was transported to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Carl was originally charged with second-degree manslaughter, a class c felony, and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon…
