CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – UVA Health Children’s hosted the annual reunion for graduates of the neonatal intensive care unit on Saturday, October 4 — bringing together the families and health care staff that supported them during their hospital stays.
“It really is so important to see these people, that they mean so much to us,” said Laura DeBoer, a NICU parent and member of the UVA NICU Patient and Family Advisory Committee. “They literally saved our children’s lives, and we’re so grateful for that.”
