Boots & BBQ Barn Bash in Mobile to feature food and fun for a cause

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Children’s of Alabama is hosting the 12th annual Boots & BBQ Barn Bash, featuring food, music, dancing and fundraising for children with medical needs.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 12, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Moe’s Original BBQ at 701 Spring Hill Avenue in downtown Mobile. “Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite boots and western attire and enjoy an evening of community and celebration,” a news release said.

Admission is $40 and includes a barbecue dinner by Moe’s Original BBQ and entertainment in the form of live music and line dancing. Attendees can also participate in silent and live auctions and hear stories of impact from local patients and their families.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s of Alabama Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic in Mobile, where children from across the Gulf Coast who are living with autoimmune disorders such as juvenile arthritis, lupus and scleroderma receive treatment…
