Rhode Island trust claims $1M Powerball prize

NATICK, Mass. (WWLP) – A Rhode Island trust has claimed a $1 million prize from the September 6 Powerball drawing.

South Shore man wins $1 million in Powerball drawing

The September 18 Trust Agreement of Middletown, R.I., represented by trustee Cristina Offenberg, claimed the winnings at lottery headquarters in Dorchester on Wednesday. The prize is before taxes.

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 172 North Main St. in Natick. For selling the ticket, the store will receive a $10,000 bonus.

The September 6 drawing featured a $1.787 billion jackpot, one of the largest in Powerball history.
