JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A 19-year-old killed Thursday night on Lakewood Drive and West McDowell Road marks the 55th person killed this year in the Capital City – the seventh in the last 30 days.
Despite that recent uptick, the total number of killings here in the Capital City is actually down more than 40 percent versus this time last year.
