Photos: Denverites Don Orange for Lorax Bar Crawl Supporting Tennyson Center for Children

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot…” Denverites clearly did on Friday, October 3, when a crowd of Loraxes came together to raise money, eyebrows and maybe even a world record in the World’s Largest Lorax Bar Crawl charity event for the Tennyson Center for Children.

The crawl kicked off at 4 p.m. at Berkeley Untapped, where organizers collected donations and revved up the energy with a lively dance contest. As more Loraxes gathered, the surreal scene led to passing cars honking in support and pedestrians pulling out phones to capture the intriguing gathering.

From there, participants fanned out across more than a dozen bars and restaurants between 38th and 46th, each offering discounts and specials for anyone dressed as the iconic Dr. Seuss character, including special drinks such as the Lorax Lemonade…
