Bo Bassett & Melvin Miller commit to Virginia Tech

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — Bishop McCort’s Bo Bassett and Melvin Miller announced on social media that he has committed to Virgina Tech where he will wrestle collegiately. Bassett is the number two overall recruit in the 2026 class, while Miller is the number on recruit in the 2027 class.

Bassett is the number one ranked wrestler in the country at 150 pounds and has represented the United States internationally many times. He won a gold medal at the Junior Pan American games back in August. He is also a multi-time Ironman Champion, a Super 32 Champion, and won two PIAA State Championships at 145 pounds.
