NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Nearly 120 Arkansas National Guardsmen stood together in a departure ceremony on Sunday.
They said their goodbyes to family and friends ahead of a 13-month long deployment in Texas, helping secure the southern U.S. border.
“Just honored to go and serve my country. Honored to go and help secure our southern border. And just going to miss my family,” Guardsman Nicholas Wayne Shuburte said.
