ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The sound of rock and roll filled the halls of The Nave in Anchorage on Sunday. That’s because the Volunteers of America (VOA) Alaska held its annual Fall festival. The annual event aims to raise awareness in the community about the VOA’s mission and the ways it supports its local community.
”We kind of help meet the person where they’re at and what they need help with,” Michael Cunningham, training and support specialist at the VOA, said. ”So, mental health treatment, substance abuse therapy, and anything in between, case management, peer support, all of the above.”
