HONOLULU (KHON2) – Fourteen Vietnam War veterans from Hawaiʻi are heading to Washington, D.C., next week for a once-in-a-lifetime trip with Hawaiian Islands Honor Flight.
Hawaiian Airlines members get ready for Atmos Rewards program
The group will travel today, from Oct. 5 to 8, to visit memorials built in their honor and to be recognized for their service.
The trip is completely free for the veterans and made possible through partnerships with Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
The program’s mission is to celebrate and thank veterans by giving them the chance to see the monuments that honor their sacrifices. Airlines are donating flights, meals, and support for the journey…
