Liberty sends teams to Western NC to assist Hurricane Helene rebuilding efforts

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — On Sunday morning, nine Liberty University students and three staff members boarded a van bound for Asheville, North Carolina.

The mountain town, along with much of Western North Carolina and Appalachia, experienced heavy damage as a result of Hurricane Helene, and rebuilding efforts are ongoing.

One year after the destruction, these Liberty representatives are heading back to the area, as well as Boone, North Carolina, to assist in those efforts…
