FORT WORTH (KDAF) — Hundreds of girls and community members gathered at Texas Wesleyan University on Saturday, Oct. 4, for Girls Inc. of Tarrant County’s annual Day of the Girl celebration.
The event, which was free and family-friendly, aimed to celebrate the potential of girls from across Tarrant County, showcase their talents, and connect them with a supportive community.
“The energy was electric,” said Jennifer Limas, President and CEO of Girls Inc. of Tarrant County. “We saw hundreds of girls who are strong, smart, bold, resilient, curious, collaborative and compassionate, and a community that showed up to cheer them on.”
