SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A Salt Lake City neighborhood is dealing with rising floodwaters after record-setting rains overwhelmed local drainage systems.
Saturday was the wettest day in Salt Lake City since 1901, with rain totals reaching 2.43 inches over the course of 24 hours. The most rain recorded in Salt Lake City was on May 3, 1901, with a total of 2.64 inches.
Multiple homes reported basement flooding, and city officials are working to prevent further damage.
