Late on Sunday, September 7, a speeding pickup truck veered off S.E. 52nd Avenue, two houses north of Raymond Street, into a home’s driveway – smashing into three parked vehicles there – and sending one of those cars partway into the kitchen and the basement of the residence.
Portland Police Bureau officers, as well as Woodstock Fire Station 25’s firefighters, were all dispatched to the crash at 11:23 p.m. that evening.
According to PPB Public Information Officer Terri Wallo Strauss, the driver of the speeding silver Dodge Ram “King Cab” pickup truck, with Washington license plates, for unknown reasons had careened off the road, hit the curb, and became airborne.
