Albany driver suffers medical emergency, wife takes steering wheel, no injuries reported

ALBANY, Ore. — Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, Albany Police officers responded to a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries in the 200 block of Lyon Street SE, in downtown Albany.

The investigation determined that Sean Royce, 47, of Albany, was driving a 2025 GM Hummer EV northbound on Lyon Street with his wife in the front passenger seat and their two daughters—ages four years and an infant—seated in the middle row.
