SPOKANE VALLEY, WA — Spokane Valley deputies arrested an 18-year-old man Sunday afternoon after he reportedly stabbed one person, pointed a replica pistol at another’s head, and threatened several others during a violent encounter near E. 8th Avenue and S. Eastern Road.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 3:15 p.m. to a report of a stabbing and found an adult female victim with a serious leg injury. Bystanders were providing aid before Spokane Valley Fire personnel transported her to the hospital with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening wound.
Investigators say the suspect, identified as Daniel R. Cozby, had recently ended a brief relationship with one of the victims. When the woman attempted to retrieve her belongings with friends and a juvenile family member of Cozby’s, he allegedly confronted them from behind a concrete barrier…
