Trial Begins for Man Accused of Road Rage Shooting

A four-day jury trial for a man accused of shooting at another car during a road rage incident began this morning in the Loudoun County Circuit Court.

Jimmy Paredes Madrid is charged with malicious shooting, brandishing a firearm and shooting from a vehicle.

The charges stem from a Dec. 3, 2024, incident when deputies were called to the area of East Maple Avenue and South Lincoln Avenue in Sterling for reports of shots being fired. According to the preliminary investigation, suspects discharged a firearm at vehicle occupied by a driver and a passenger. No injuries were reported. Investigators located the suspect vehicle the next day and arrested Paredes Madrid and Aldo Betancourth Rivera. Both are undocumented immigrants, according to the Sheriff’s Office…
