STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) – The Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity was the recipient of a large-scale donation designed to help address housing supply in Staunton.
After a competition on the National Mall, the SAW Habitat for Humanity — through some connections with its new executive director, Brad Bryant — saw an opportunity to find a new home for some raw housing materials.
“They were all building this house on the mall to show how fast they could assemble a framework of a house,” Bryant said. “This year, we had conversations about it. We came up with the idea that they can build it fast as a two-story house — let’s see if they could do a two-story duplex.”…
