16-year-old accused of stealing car at gunpoint in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a teen after he allegedly stole a car at gunpoint on Saturday in south Charlotte.

Court records say a 16-year-old from Albemarle is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy, larceny of a motor vehicle, elude arrest with a motor vehicle, and possession of a handgun by a minor. There is no description given on why the teen’s name is listed in court records despite them being a minor. WCNC Charlotte has chosen not to name the teen due to their age.
