Third Recall Bid Against Dade County Executive Don Townsend Fails
TRENTON, Ga. — A third attempt to initiate a recall of Dade County Executive Don Townsend has failed after organizers submitted only 68 signatures—short of the 100 required to advance the petition.
The recall application was organized and chaired by Rebecca Conkle. Signatures were turned in this past Friday, but the total did not meet the minimum threshold. All signers must be registered voters for their signatures to count. Conkle had 15 days to collect the required number
