ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — The process may seem simple at first: grow some corn, find a cool design and cut it down accordingly.
However, with modern agricultural technology, the process of designing and plotting a corn maze is more intricate than it may seem.
Northeast Indiana is home to a host of notable corn mazes, including ones at Kurtz Produce, Kuehnert Dairy Farm and the Amazing Fall Fun Corn Maze east of Waterloo.
Luke Crilly, an agronomist with G&K Concepts, worked on the design for the annual Kurtz Produce corn maze, with the 2025 design revolving around the Fort Wayne Zoo. G&K Concepts is an agricultural services company located north of Woodburn that works with farmers to mainly provide soil sampling, which allows farmers to determine the most efficient way to make use of their land and crops.
