Jersey City Ward E Councilman James Solomon is vowing to audit all developer tax breaks on the books if he is elected mayor, noting he was highlighting the issue since it’s Anti-Corruption Week.
“As mayor, we will move fast to root out corruption that for too long has hurt Jersey City. Corruption is a tax on all Jersey City residents,” he said in a statement.
“It leads to higher property taxes, lower-quality services, and a government that favors the well-connected over everyday residents. We need change.”
