Vietnam veterans reunite in Lexington to heal, remember celebrate freedom

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — More than 50 years after the Vietnam War ended, a group of Veterans is proving that some bonds never break.

Robert Adams says he hasn’t had a bad day since Vietnam. Sunday was one of the better ones for the Vietnam Army Veteran and Commander of the 7th Battalion, 13th Artillery.

“Vietnam was bad,” Adams said. “Our unit, the First Cavalry Division, we had over 852 killed in our division, had a 30% casualty rate. It was a rough year, ’67 and ’68.”
