RI bird sanctuary caring for rare Atlantic puffin

GLOCESTER, R.I. (WPRI) — Congress of the Birds is accustomed to unusual calls, but this week’s arrival may be one of their rarest patients to date.

On Sunday night, Rhode Island’s only avian specific rehabilitator took in a juvenile Atlantic puffin that was found wandering someone’s backyard near Wrentham — roughly 40 miles from the ocean.
