ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester man will serve prison time in connection with the mass shooting last year in Maplewood Park that left two people dead and five injured.
Niger Johnson did not hit anyone during the mass shooting during a cookout on July 28, 2024 in the park, but prosecutors said he fired into a crowd. He was found guilty in August of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
