A new restaurant serving classic and modern Italian and American dishes has opened in Moneta. “It’s different high-end authentic cuisine served in a family atmosphere,” said La Casa Toscana spokesperson Alex Machado.
The new restaurant is a collaboration between managing owner Eli Martinez and chef/owner Francisco Machado. Alex Machado, who has been in the restaurant business for more than 20 years, helped his brother and brother-in-law get the new restaurant venture up and going. “Someone gave me an opportunity to learn, and I put my heart into doing the same for others,” said Alex Machado.
La Casa Toscana offers a variety of dishes including appetizers, soups and salads, as well as classics from the grill like steak sandwiches, Reubens, burgers and chicken sandwiches. Chef specials include ribeye steak, beef tenderloin, mahi-mahi, salmon, and surf and turf.
