Oldest New Orleans murder case finally comes to a close after 16 years

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The oldest case in New Orleans Criminal District Court has come to a close.

Keith Kisack pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a July 2009 killing and received credit for time served last week (Sept. 29).

Kisack is serving life in prison for having contraband in prison as a repeat violent offender. His defense attorney, Michael Kennedy, said that conviction made the state drag its feet on closing Kisack’s 2009 case…
