Witnesses urged to come forward after Rochelle shooting incident

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rochelle Police are actively searching for suspects involved in a shooting incident that occurred late Saturday night.

The shooting took place just after 11 p.m. when callers reported disturbances caused by a large group of people on Willis Avenue. Shortly thereafter, police say the group fired shots at a car near the intersection of Southview and Randall.

According to the driver of the targeted vehicle, the group attempted to stop their car. When the driver maneuvered around them, the group shot at the car eight times…
