Because we’ve had such a slow start to fall, with temperatures soaring to a record 91 degrees over the first weekend in October, it’s a little hard to believe that in just a matter of weeks the ground will be frozen, the air will be crisp, and the whirlwind of holiday fun will be in full swing.
We haven’t even reached Halloween yet, but if Christmas is your favorite holiday, you’re in luck. Hallmark is wasting no time getting into the festive spirit. The network has officially released its highly anticipated “Countdown to Christmas” schedule, and it all kicks off on Friday, October 17th.
24 NEW HOLIDAY MOVIES
This year’s holiday lineup is bigger and brighter than ever. The Hallmark Channel will debut 24 brand-new holiday movies, a couple of exciting new series, and of course, plenty of beloved classics from years past.

One of the new films that’s sure to grab attention is “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.” This one is tailor-made for football fans. The NFL has teamed up with Hallmark to bring viewers a cozy Christmas romance with a sporty twist — complete with cameo appearances from both current and former members of the Buffalo Bills.

COUNTRY MUSIC LOVER’S CHRISTMAS
Country music lovers will want to tune in for another new special, “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.” This festive celebration will feature brand-new original music from none other than country superstar Brad Paisley, blending Nashville charm with classic holiday warmth.
NEW SERIES
If you’re more of a series watcher, there’s plenty to look forward to there as well. Hallmark is rolling out two original series this season. The first, “Mistletoe Murders,” might not sound particularly jolly, but it promises a fun, mystery-meets-holiday vibe across two seasons. The second, “Twelve Days ’Til Christmas,” is a full-length series that’s bound to become a new seasonal favorite.
New original movies will premiere every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Central Time, while the new series episodes will air on Fridays and Mondays. If you miss them live, don’t worry! Everything will also be available to stream on Hallmark+ the following day…
