Salem woman sentenced for mail theft ring with 600+ victims

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A West Salem woman was sentenced on Friday for her role in a large-scale mail theft, fraud and forgery operation — leading to more than 600 victims of the scheme, authorities announced.

The Polk County District Attorney’s Office said 32-year-old Ashley Audrianna Wood was sentenced to six years in prison and was ordered to serve a two-year term of post-prison supervision upon her release.

Wood’s sentencing comes after she pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated identity theft, criminal possession of a forged instrument, three counts of forgery, computer crime and 26 counts of mail theft.
