A Cleveland teenager’s 18th felony case has ignited a firestorm of criticism from Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Mike O’Malley, who’s publicly condemned Juvenile Court for repeatedly choosing probation over incarceration despite an extraordinary pattern of reoffending.
“Look, 18 is a staggering number,” said Chris Quinn on Tuesday’s episode of Today in Ohio. “The whole purpose of juvenile court, as you and I have discussed many times, is to get kids back on the right track. And the fact that he’s been through there 18 times shows this is an abject failure.”
