La Vergne Police responded Friday to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian at the Dollar General on Stones River Road. The driver initially fled the scene.
Police quickly ensured the victim received medical attention and began gathering information on the suspect. Thanks to tips from community members, detectives and patrol officers located the suspect at his residence and took him into custody without incident.
