A local man was arraigned Monday in Fall River Superior Court after an arrest earlier this year on drug charges.
According to Westport Police, on February 4th, at just after 1:30 a.m., Officer Sean Munzing was on patrol in the area of State Road (Route 6). A vehicle passed his location without a front license plate and Officer Munzing initiated a motor vehicle stop.
The operator, Walter Brewster Gomes, told Officer Munzing he did not have his license on him. A query of the license status revealed Gomes had a suspended license. Officer Munzing then placed Gomes under arrest…
