Amarillo man sentenced to 20 years in prison on drug charge

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — An Amarillo man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a drug charge.

According to court documents filed in US District Court for the Northern District of Texas Amarillo Division, Jason Dirks was sentenced on a charge of “Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.”

In May, Dirks agreed to plead guilty to one count of “Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.”
