NEWTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has released new details regarding a bear killed near a Newton County campground, reportedly responsible for a Missouri man’s death last week.
Keith Stephens, a spokesperson for AGFC, told KNWA/FOX24 that the results of the necropsy revealed that the bear appeared to be “physically normal with no apparent signs of disease or other obvious abnormalities.” However, rabies and distemper tests are pending, according to Stephens.
