Boise has exploded in size, and with that comes new restaurants and coffee shops. It’s exciting to check out a new place to meet a friend or grab a bite to eat, but that doesn’t mean the old and established restaurants aren’t worth exploring. So as a Boise native, here are a few “oldie but goodie” locations to check out!
1 – Goody’s
1502 N 13th Street
Located deep in the North End, Goody’s would not be out of place in an old movie with its old-fashioned ice cream shop setting. Established in 1996, Goody’s offers a decadent selection of candy by the pound, ice cream, and milkshakes. In the warmer months, enjoy your treats out on their spacious patio.
2 – Casa Mexico
10332 Fairview Ave | 1605 N 13th St, Ste B | 393 W State St A, Eagle
Casa Mexico has everything a Mexican restaurant should: chips and fresh salsa (which you can buy to take home if you want), delicious margaritas, and a full menu of delicious Mexican food. The first Casa Mexico opened in 1992 on Fairview and has since opened two new locations in Hyde Park and Eagle.
3 – Fanci Freeze
