Victim’s husband files lawsuit over deadly crash involving school bus

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The husband of a woman killed in a crash involving a Greenville County school bus. Pictures of the crash taken by investigators with the South Carolina Highway Patrol show the mangled front end of the bus that plowed into the car Crystal Coggins was driving. She died in the crash. Her husband, Tim, says she was on the way to bring him lunch when the wreck happened.

“I was just thinking you know hey this is my wife bringing my food and I get out to the gate and it’s my daughters and they’re crying and upset and saying ‘daddy, mama’s been in an accident and they won’t let us go down there and see her’,” Coggins said.

Coggins says his wife was loving and their children were her entire world. He says once he was able to get down to the scene of the wreck, telling his kids what he saw gutted his family…
